Christmas in April
In college in South Bend, there was a program called Christmas in April. It was similar to Habitat for Humanity: students would wake up early on a Saturday and spend the day fixing up a needy person's lawn or home, doing odd jobs. I always signed up, but never woke up. Saturday mornings in college? Hello!!
Today LOOKS like Christmas in April in Minnesota.
It is snowing in St. Louis Park and I am Cran-KY!! A total whiteout since I drove home from Junior League last night. Combine that with the fact that the dog wouldn't GO this morning, even after trudging around in the white shit for 30 minutes. I climbed in the car with snow wet hair to sit in traffic for 70 minutes. My saving grace was that I swung into Starbucks on the way. My comfort drink, yummy, although highly unrecognizable due to the sugarfree, fat free dietary tweaks.
