On Your Mark! Get Set! Slow down.

It has now rained constantly since March 28, my birthday. That's 5 consecutive days - I'm ready to scream! Argh! Fargo and I managed to get out a few times for some walks of distance, but with the blowing winds and temps in the low 40s, we both come back icicle cold. After winter and with more gray on the horizon, April Showers, I'm ready to jump ship. AND, Mike was in Cancun all weekend at a bachelor party, so things were very quiet around here. I'm sure he will be very burnt when he walks in the door tonight.

Sunny California, here I come!! Frustratingly, that won't take place until this fall. Only a FEW more months of crappy weather, then summer will be upon us. Not soon enough. My weekend was spent on the couch watching 'Who's Wedding is it Anyway' on the Style network and reading The Complete Idiot's Guide to the Perfect Wedding' or something like that. I don't feel like I learned anything I don't already know, but it was a nice way to ease into the process. I'm getting closer to start some actual planning. I'm waiting only for the official Go Ahead from Mike who has wanted to relax and "enjoy the engagement" before diving into wedding planning craziness AND, of course, we need to determine the budget.

For so many things going on right now, I feel like a race horse lined up at the gate. I'm ready to go, excited, amped up, chomping at the bit, but the gate is still closed.
